My name is Anne and I am jokingly referred to as Miss Builder.

I LOVE all things about houses - new and old. I have a very interesting job that I somehow fell into. I design floor plans for a local builder. I work with several draftsman and implement feedback from homebuyers, realtors and designers. Sometimes I even get to play on Pinterest for work!

What is this blog about? It’s about the things I see and experience on a daily basis. I love design but more than that I value FUNCTION. You can have the most beautiful home in the world, but if it annoys you while you live in it, then what’s the point?

I tell stories and showcase products to help my readers invest in their home. The Blush Navy by Miss Builder showcases all things HOME: home maintenance, home improvement in both design and function, and design ideas to help the everyday Homeowner understand how to invest in their Largest Investment - their Home.

While I have the liberty of erasing a wall with a pencil, I am aware its not that easy for you to do. There are certain things in a home you cannot simply change due to cost. There are some things that are perfect DIYs and some that require a professional. I hope you attain the wisdom to know the difference. As we journey together, I may point this out from time to time.
